FANTASY SURFER ANSWERS QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR TEAMS AND THE WEBSITE
(Sunday, April 4, 2010)
In the past few weeks, as you are more than likely aware, the Fantasy Surfer website has operated at a less than acceptable level. We here at Fantasy Surfer sincerely apologize for this problem. We are currently sorting out the issues and will have the Fantasy Surfer site back up to full speed shortly.
Many of you have been email and calling us to complain about your teams. Thank you for your voices and opinions. We know that the Fantasy Surfer users are passionate, loyal and very interested in seeing Fantasy Surfer continue as the best Fantasy Surf game available. We are doing everything possible to bring that to you as quickly as we can.
Of course, you have questions about your teams - hopefully we can solve each of those questions for you, but here are some answers to some common problems users are experiencing:
MY TEAM IS GONE (example pictured above)
Many of you logged on after the start of Round 1 for the mens and womens events to not see any surfers on your team once trading had closed. First, rest assured that all of your teams WERE SAVED. Once trading closed, no user has been able to see their team, but they were all saved at the time of trading being closed. This means that once we sort out the problem of teams not being able to be viewed, your team dashboard will reflect the last team that you saved when you made trades.
I CAN'T LOG IN
Many of Fantasy Surfer's users are having difficulty even logging into your teams. Many times this can be an issue with a mis-typed password. While this may be the case in a small percentage of the users currently experiencing this problem, we also have another possible answer. If you have changed your team name from your email address to a new team name such as "Team Windswell", attempt to log back in using the email address. This has been working for many who have attempted it. We will be correcting the issue that many of you are having with this problem, and hopefully it won't be an issue for you for long.
I CAN'T JOIN MY CLUBHOUSE
Several users are having issues joining the clubhouses that they have created. We are working on this issue and believe we have it solved. We will have it fixed shortly, and soon you will be able to join your own team without issue.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for the site not currently meeting our own expectations and urge you to stay patient with us while we correct the problems everyone is experiencing.
We will have another announcement when we have more to report, but for now we are going to let our technical team do their job and we will continue to report on the event currently at hand at Bells Beach.
Thank you for your continued support,
The Fantasy Surfer Team
