As of today (8/21), we are two days away from the start of the 2010 Billabong Pro Tahiti.
On August 17th, the Von Zipper Trials were completed, and two Tahitians found themselves in the final. Taumata Puhetini defeated Tamaroa McComb in the final to take the win, but they both have earned slots into the main event of the Billabong Pro Tahiti as wildcards. They will join fellow Tahitian Manoa Drollet as the three wildcards for the event.
But hold on, there are still three spots yet to be determined for the event. Due to various injuries, Joel Parkinson, Kai Otton, and Dan Ross will not be competing in Tahiti this year. That means there will be three injury replacements for them. Replacing Otton, Parkinson and Ross will be Joan Duru, Tim Reyes, and local Heiarii Williams. All three replacements are now available for trading.

What Time is It In Tahiti? Tahiti is 6 hours behind the US East Coast, and 3 Hours behind the US West Coast. That means that 8am Monday in Tahiti is 2pm Monday on the US East Coast, and 11am Monday on the US West Coast.
